This category brings together natural skincare products for delicate skin, designed to minimize unnecessary steps and prioritize well-tolerated formulas. The selection focuses on gentle care, rich textures, and suitable products, paying close attention to ingredients and actual usage. The goal is to make choices based on the comfort of reactive skin rather than accumulating products with redundant functions. At Hitton, this selection is part of the work of an Occitanie-based farm specializing in organic donkey milk, aromatic plants, and artisanal soap-making. Product pages detail ingredients, usage instructions, and—where relevant—precautions regarding essential oils or sensitive periods. This approach helps build a clearer routine tailored to usage frequency and specific needs.
The first criterion is to start with the intended purpose: reducing unnecessary steps and prioritising well-tolerated formulas. A suitable product should support the comfort of fragile or reactive skin and be appropriate for the area where it will be used. The ingredient list can then help you understand the role of gentle skincare ingredients, oils and fats, and other components within the formula. A short formula is not automatically better, but each ingredient should have a clear purpose that is consistent with the product. Texture, frequency of use, and sensory preferences also matter, because an effective routine is first and foremost one that can be followed regularly. At Hitton, the selection approach is based on natural products, agricultural and artisanal expertise, and clearly explained uses without making excessive claims. When in doubt, it is better to start with a small number of products, observe how well they are tolerated, and adjust gradually.
Depending on the product, this category may include gentle skincare ingredients, oils and fats, and formulas selected with fragile skin in mind. Organic donkey milk holds a special place in the Hitton range: it comes from the farm’s own herd and is used in several soaps and cosmetic products. Aromatic plants are another key area of the farm’s expertise, particularly through hydrosols and essential oils. For soaps, cold-process saponification makes it possible to produce cleansing bars rich in oils and fats without using a pre-prepared industrial cleansing base. Plant oils and butters are selected for their contribution to texture, nourishment, and comfort during application. However, the relevance of an ingredient depends on its concentration, the complete formulation, and how the product is used, not simply on its presence on the label. This is why the information provided on each product page remains the main reference when comparing two formulas.
A consistent routine for fragile skin starts with the essential steps and adds only products that address a clearly identified need. Gentle application and regularity are generally more useful than frequently changing or combining numerous products. Rinse-off products should be used according to their recommended frequency, while leave-on products should be applied in measured quantities. Depending on their formulation, oils, serums, balms, and other gentle skincare products can complement cleansing when a separate need has been identified. Products containing essential oils require additional precautions regarding dosage, application method, age, pregnancy, breastfeeding, and specific individual circumstances. Introducing new products one at a time is particularly useful for fragile or reactive skin, as it makes it easier to assess tolerance and identify a product that causes discomfort.
Natural skincare for fragile skin is intended for skin that tends to react easily or experience recurring sensations of discomfort. The skin’s actual condition and level of sensitivity should guide the choice rather than a trend or a single highlighted ingredient. Seasonal changes, cleansing habits, environmental exposure, and other products already being used can also influence skin comfort. A local patch test and gradual introduction can help assess tolerance before incorporating a new product more widely into the routine. The precautions stated on the label and product page should always be followed, particularly for formulas containing essential oils. If redness, irritation, itching, or other discomfort becomes significant, persists, or worsens, a healthcare professional can help distinguish a cosmetic concern from a condition requiring appropriate care.
Each product should have a clearly identifiable purpose within the routine. Start with the essential steps and add another product only if it addresses a separate need. For fragile skin, limiting unnecessary products can also make it easier to identify which formulas are well tolerated and which may be responsible for discomfort.
Compare their complete ingredient lists, intended purposes, textures, application areas, recommended frequency, and precautions. The number of ingredients alone does not determine whether a formula will be suitable. Individual tolerance and the way the complete formula fits into the existing routine are particularly important for fragile skin.
Start with gentle cleansing when required, then apply leave-on products according to their texture and intended purpose. A moisturising or other targeted product can follow if it addresses a separate need. The exact order should also follow the directions provided for each formula, while keeping the number of steps limited and easy to assess.
Give each product a specific function and avoid combining several formulas designed to perform essentially the same role. A simple routine based on gentle cleansing and one appropriate leave-on product may be sufficient in many situations. Additional products can then be introduced individually when there is a clearly identified need.
Check the product’s exact purpose, complete ingredient list, texture, application area, recommended frequency, and precautions. Pay particular attention to ingredients or types of formulas that you already know your skin does not tolerate well. For fragile skin, practical information about application and frequency can be just as important as the highlighted ingredients.
Start with the most essential need and keep the initial selection small. Gentle cleansing and an appropriate product for comfort or moisturising can provide a simple starting point. Hitton’s range includes products connected with organic donkey milk, plant oils, and the farm’s botanical expertise, but the complete formulation and individual tolerance should remain the main selection criteria.
Compare their exact functions, complete formulations, textures, application areas, and precautions. Avoid selecting several products with overlapping purposes simply because they contain different highlighted ingredients. For fragile skin, the most appropriate option is the one that addresses the identified need while fitting into a simple routine and being well tolerated.
Check the complete ingredient list, intended application area, texture, directions for use, recommended frequency, and precautions. If the formula contains essential oils or other aromatic ingredients, pay particular attention to the specific usage recommendations. Hitton’s agricultural and artisanal expertise can also provide useful context, but the complete formula and its suitability for your skin should remain the priority.
Prioritise a simple routine that respects the skin’s current level of sensitivity. Gentle cleansing when necessary and an appropriate product for comfort or moisturising can form the basis of the routine. Additional Hitton products should only be introduced when they address a separate need, preferably one at a time so that tolerance can be assessed clearly.
